India

oh India, everpresent smell of shit, land of crazyness and noise, open cesspit of my heart.
Am in Pushkar at the mo - holy city so no eggs, booze or meat. There is a stunning bathing ghat here, set around a lake, loads of beautiful mountains surrounding the lake, with great walks up to the temples on the top.
Unfortunately I seem to have become somewhat unfit in my old age and making it to the top when its hot was a task and a half.
Pushkar is very chilled here - not so much of the "hello mister come look my shop mister why you no talk to me you no like indian people" tout BS
One of the nice things about travellling round rajisthan in the heat is that they have just had the monsoon sweason, so rather than seeing a desert everwhere here is lush and green. Jaipur was a bit of an armpit, dusty, hectic, full of pushy touts. The city wasn't even pink - more a dusty orange so much for the description heard previously of the city walls. Got to see elephnats bathing in the moat beneath the Amber Fort, relaxing after treking fat americans up to the top of the mountain.
Am still loving the fact that I can eat curry every day - feel cleaner for not having eaten meat for a few days - hopefully off to the North soon for a bit of a change of scene, hopefully going to do the two day road trip to Ladakh, as photos of the place look stunning - its supposedly like a mini tibet - one of the most remote places in India.

Love to all guys - take care - hope to hear from you's soon...
